Greening the Gateway City – Urban Forestry Program

If you live in the Lower Highlands or the Acre, check out the map at the link below to see if your address is within the boundary. You may be able to receive a FREE tree, which will be planted for you!

The Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust, the City of Lowell, and the Massachusetts Dept. of Conservation have partnered to plant trees in the area of the city where they are most needed.
We’re hoping to create a significant increase in tree canopy to provide energy savings, shade, and air quality improvements for the residents of these neighborhoods.
