2018 Lowell Earth Day Celebration

During the month of April, Lowell becomes a city-wide, celebration of the arts, nature and sustainability!

History: Many organizations or institutions sporadically hosted individual Earth Day events in Lowell and surrounding communities.  But, in late 2014, UMass Lowell led an exploration of opportunities for collaboration with a wide variety of community organizations and UMass Lowell faculty, students and staff to create a month-long calendar of events for April 2015.  Some 30 organizations staged events to celebrate Lowell’s sustainability in all of its aspects – environmental, artistic and cultural.  This event has only grown over recent years and we now have well over 50 organizations taking part.

We have a number of events during the month of April which can be viewed on our calendar. Note: Please move the calendar forward to April and hover (or click) on the days with event listings to view the event details. More events will be added in the coming weeks.
